SUMMARY:Astronaut Nicole Passonno Stott Book Signing at American Space Museum - Nov 18\, 2023
DESCRIPTION:We welcome International Space Station astronaut and professed “earthling” Nicole Passonno Stott for a book signing on Saturday\, Nov. 18 from 1-3pm at our Titusville\, FL museum. \nShe will sign her new book “Back to Earth: What Life in Space Taught Me About Our Home Planet—And Our Mission to Protect It.” The October 2021 book reads like a seven-chapter lesson plan to save and care for our “spaceship” Earth. \nThe book is available for purchase at the museum for $30. \nCOST\, Map & Contact At Page Bottom\nNicole’s experiences include 104 days in space as a NASA astronaut on the International Space Station Expeditions 20/21 and the STS-133 final mission of Orbiter Discovery in 2010. Important to her unique perspective of planet Earth are the 18 days underwater she spent as an aquanaut on NEEMO 9 mission. \nStott is on a crusade to create an awareness that all “earthlings” share this precious planet. By acting like crewmates on spaceship Earth\, we need to work together to respect our planet with disregard to any borders except one–the thin blue line that cocoons all life. \nJoin Nicole at ASM as she shares her passion for “art\, space & healing” and the ecological cause she champions. She is a co-founder of the Space for Art Foundation – uniting a planetary community of children through the awe and wonder of space exploration and the healing power of art. \nNOT a General Autograph Event\n\nPlease note that this is a book signing\, not a general autograph event. We ask that you NOT bring items for her to sign other than her book. In fairness to everyone\, please do not ask for exceptions. Thanks for your understanding.\n\nCosts for Event\nAdmission to Event\n\nNormal prices for museum admission charged at the door…\n$10 Adults. $8 Seniors (65+). $5 Children age 13-18. FREE for Children 12 and under. FREE for Members. Veterans/Active Military are FREE all November.\n\n\nCost for Book and Signature\n\n\nBook: $30 +tax at the event\, or if you prefer\, also available ahead of time in the museum gift shop.\nNicole will sign HER BOOK for free. As a friend of ASM\, she is offering to sign her book for free with the hope that guests buy her book at the museum to support our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.\nAlthough purchasing at the event supports the museum\, Nicole also will be glad to sign copies of her book purchased elsewhere.
