Bob left Air Force active duty and joined NASA at KSC in 1964 as a spacecraft systems engineer for the Gemini and Apollo programs. After Apollo he was transferred to the Space Shuttle program where he was one of the architects of the complex program as key leader in the management ranks. \nBob Sieck was Launch Director for 51 Space Shuttle missions before retiring in 1999 as KSC Director of Shuttle Processing. After retirement he has served on many NASA review boards and is currently a member of the NASA Advisory Council and the SpaceX Safety Panel. \nThe American Space Museum in Titusville is the business of the non-profit U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation\, which since 1988 has been preserving the birth of America’s Space Age in Brevard County\, Florida. Donations accepted at the event or at any time you can Donate Online. A grant from the Space Coast Office of Tourism also helps support museum events. \nThe museum’s parent 501(c)(3) non-profit U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation works to preserve the history of the U.S. Space program through our American Space Museum exhibits and educational programs\, as well as the Space View Park Monuments. We agree with astronaut Alan Shepard\, when on May 13\, 1996\, he said\, “We need to remember the people who made it possible; so little is said of them.” Our intent is to honor and place emphasis on American space workers and others who made the space programs possible. \nThe museum’s collection includes thousands of artifacts\, including flown items\, Shuttle and Cape Launch Complex Consoles\, and mission memorabilia. We also have educational programs. Please visit our museum sometime. \nWe are also the home of the popular YouTube video podcast “Stay Curious” featuring conversations with space workers\, astronauts and celebrating historical events. It airs weekdays at 4 pm Eastern on YouTube. Space history and current events can also be found on our Facebook page and website.
