Joseph A. Williams’ Generous Donation
Thank you, Joe Williams! A most generous gift for the Space Walk of Fame Museum by Joe Williams was presented at the annual Dinner with the Astronauts. Joe also surprised everyone after the presentation of this $100,000 check by announcing that he would match all donations to the museum during this year up to $100,000. Joe has been the single largest monetary donor to our museum.
Therefore, a focus for this year will be to request donations of whatever amount our supporters are willing to give to receive this matching money from Joe Williams. Joe has also requested that these donations be made in honor of Norm Carlson and Ike Rigel. Both are in the hospital now and our thoughts and prayers are for them. Not only has his the support for us been monetarily, but he has donated or loaned many of his personal items to share with the museum visitors. What a wonderful gift to our museum! There is a room in the museum dedicated to showcasing his artifacts of the space history!
Ways to donate:
- Become a member of museum and entire amount goes toward matching donation online under membership tab at www.spacewalkoffame.org by using our secured SSL server, by check mailed to 308 Pine Street, Titusville, FL, 32796, or stop by in person to make your donation.
- Donate whatever amount you feel you can share by mailing to above address or stop by in person to make your donation.
- Call the museum at 321 264-0434 and you can make your donation by credit card.
The matching fund amount will be tallied for one year, which began January 29, 2015 at the Dinner with the Astronauts, and continue until the Dinner with the Astronauts next year. Those who donate funds in any way to the Space Walk of Fame Museum will have their names posted in our museum on a special board. All funds will go toward helping the museum preserve our space history and expanding the STEAM programs.
