A friend and I were in town for the SpaceX launch at Space View Park. After it was canceled, we were told about this museum. Since it was only a $10 entrance fee and within walking distance we decided to check it out. We ended up taking a tour with John Smith. We were there for almost 4 hours! It was such an amazing and informative experience.

very well arranged and great history artifacts from so many years of space travel history including ups and downs. many personal stories…..its like a giant version of the Smithsonian in clear detail. especially the history of letters from Israeli children but you got to go to get those details.

Amazing time. Every inch has something special. I loved showing my boys the women in astronauts room. The curators are passionate and so full of real trinkets of historical info. Saw a comet made. You meet people who have lived and interacted with those part of an amazing piece of history. They let kids play on a real mission control section – which my kids total got in to and role played and it was incredible to watch. Highly recommend. It is interesting in different ways to different people. We will be visiting again. Thank you

I appreciate the fact that you can see the ‘get down to the nitty gritty’ part of what it took to send those birds and their guests up to go to work. It is a museum that is not chrome and glass but shows the elbow grease behind a program that took the elbow grease of over 40,000 workers in order for us to be celebrating now. And finally, bless these people for celebrating those who were not in the glory positions but should have shared the limelight with the well-deserving cowboys who rode those boosters, as many attacked the work just as fervently and with the same amount of pride. No position was smaller than another’s…every job was crucial ……any miss could be fatal …….You can feel THAT part of the manned flight missions in the museum and it’s humbling and exhilarating !

We had so much fun today. My daughter loved the room dedicated to all of the woman. There is so much to see inside. They have amazing tour guides who are very knowledgeable and FUN. There is something to do for all ages. We can’t wait to come back.

This place is amazing! It seems so modest on the outside but is jam packed full of so many cool things, some of which are interactive. I’ve touched a tire that has been in space and I’ve played with switched and dials actually used during launches. How cool is that! Forget the cape. THIS is the place to go if you are a space lover.

This is a privately funded museum that is well organized and has collections of space memorabilia and actual equipment used by NASA for controlling launches, planning missions, and planning the infrastructure needed to put launch vehicles together. Tour guides are the people who actually worked in the space program providing first hand knowledge and personal experiences. They have a launch control room as set up for a real rocket launch. Old set of launch control countdown timers, recorders, monitors, etc. used by NASA. This museum is known as the American Space Museum and Walk of Fame Foundation. The Walk of Fame is located at Space View Park at the intersection of US Highway 1 and Orange St. and is owned by the city of Titusville. In Google Maps, enter the park name or Project Gemini Monument or Project Mercury Monument. The park is only about 4 blocks from the museum and is exactly due West across the Indian River from the Shuttle Landing Facility and the two launch pads connected to the Vehicle Assembly Building by the “crawlerway”. It’s supposed to be a good location to view a launch.

It’s one of those museums that you drive by and wonder if you should go inside. My advice: go IN!!! We had a great guide called Tom who showed us around and was knowledgeable about the space race and Shuttle engineering. Pleasant staff, ample parking and a great day out. Thank you!

What a fantastic place! To think it only survived because Scientists and engineers saved all the equipments and gadgets at home before donating to the museum saddens me. The importance of their work needs to be forever recognized. KUDOS to the museum volunteers. We are comming back! They also have educational programs. Please support this museum by visiting it and contributing to their foundation. This museum should be 10 x bigger and supported al ssf o by the aerospace industry. I hope this museum keeps on growing. It is just as important as the Smithsonian in DC. We all need to visit it! It deserves 10 stars and not only 5!

My family and I enjoyed this museum. The star trek scavenger hunt was fun with my kiddo. All the staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. My husband was thankful for the insight and information. Thank you John for answering his questions. It was definitely an educational experience and overall fun experience.

Super interesting and alot of behind the scenes information was learned. Sam was an excellent tour guide. Do the tour. It is included in the admission, is about 90 minutes long, and is wonderful!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Do not let the somewhat humble exterior keep you from visiting. The admission is not cheap, but it is worth every penny, and they are entirely supported by admission. Even though it is not a giant space on the scale of the Kennedy visitors center or other such museums, it is absolutely chock full of amazing items, artifacts and space program related items. I am an avid documentary watcher, so I knew a good deal of the information our guide shared, but I still found it very engaging. It is obvious that the folks working here are intensely passionate and well informed. Many of the stories they told were things I have seen in documentaries on the space program, so their information is top class. After the tour, I spent quite a bit of time looking at all of the fascinating items in their collection from both the US and Soviet space programs. The memorial to fallen astronauts was very moving and as with everything quite well done. Two comments for visitors. First, because this is an independent museum and the space is relatively small, they do not have any refreshments. Don’t go on an empty stomach – you will leave before you are ready if you are hungry. Second, they have a great deal of items that are not in protected cases and are marked “Do Not Touch” – younger kids may find this challenging, especially because many of the items are models that look like toys. They do have a room specifically for younger kids, but the main exhibits are, in my mind, better suited for kids 7-8 years and up. Overall a TREMENDOUS collection. Do not miss it!

What an amazing time! Hear from real engineers and others who worked on all aspects of our space program. My 6 year old and 10 year old friend loved it! Get a tour guide, we had Mark, and you will be pleasantly surprised at the history and knowledge this place has. Hands on fun for all ages.

Nice Place. Interactive with kids. Small, but definitely worth it. Has a little gift shop filled with Kites, Astronaut Ice Cream, Posters, T-Shirts, and more.

My wife and I just finished up our tour here. Was less than 10 minutes away from our hotel, Fairfield Inn, on Helen Hauser Blvd. Small place, but FULL of memorabilia, and our tour guide, Mike, was VERY knowledgeable, and very friendly. He knew his stuff. They have their hands on many pieces from the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs, as well as, the Space Shuttle program. Only $10 a person is well worth it. We spent a solid 2 1/2 hours walking through each phase in American Space flight. Will come back for sure next time we come up this way. 5 stars.

We took our 9 year old son with special needs to visit the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Museum in Titusville, FL today. This was our first visit and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. If you go, take the tour! Our tour guide, Mike, was a payload specialist who is extremely enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the history of the space program and has many interesting stories and facts to share. Mike was also fantastic with our autistic son, and he really went above and beyond and made a lot of effort to connect with our son and made his visit super enjoyable! We learned more here in one day than our many visits to KSC! We plan to return soon. He was fascinating and had such a warm personality! Great job!!!

For the unveiling of their new ‘Mercury Room’, my husband and I decided to tour the museum. It was far more intricate than I had expected. Each section/room focuses on a different era/mission. I enjoyed seeing the actual memorabilia from the different shuttles and crew, as well as learning from our guide about how some of the items came to be in their possession (like a door found in a scrap yard!). In the room with the models is an actual command console that kids can play with while at the end of the museum we learned about the machine they used to check all systems before a launch during the sixties. That was the most impressive thing there! It was a giant switchboard that our guide actually used to play a videotape. I couldn’t believe it still worked. We probably spent an hour total there; first walking around reading about each piece on our own and then with a guide (which I would recommend).

My boys and I had a great time during our visit. Definitely take advantage of the tour. Our docent was very knowledgeable and made our visit both fun and educational. They have a great gift shop. Lots of items your kids are sure to enjoy!

What a fantastic find. We found it completely by accident and were so happy we did! Any true spaceflight enthusiast needs to go here at least once. Don’t be fooled by its size, you’ll easily spend 1-2 hours there.

Coming into this place not knowing much about NASA and spaceships, I left unbelievably knowledgeable about it and wanting to learn more! The tour guide Mike was soo passionate and educational about every single object in the museum and taught us so much. The place looks small at first, but you will be amazed of what is inside. I cannot believe they ONLY charge $5 admission for how much information I’ve received and all of the awesome artifacts we were able to see. Definitely recommend this for everyone, even if you don’t have too much interest in it beforehand because you will leave wanting to learn more.

It was an awesome time there checking out the articles of the history of our Space Program. They said they are in a new larger location and it works well. The kids even loved it and they treated them awesome. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys space history and a great place for kids to check out artifacts of early manned spaceflight.

Most excellent little museum. It has quite a few artifacts from the early space age time period. It is run by donations, don’t be cheap, keep it alive.
