Apollo Astronauts Autograph & Photo Session at American Space Museum – Nov 16, 2023

November 16, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EST

Astronauts Lousma & Schweickart Skylab Poster

Two legends of the Apollo space program, astronauts Jack Lousma and Rusty Schweickart, will hold an autograph and photo session Thursday Nov. 16 from 11am to noon at the American Space Museum, Downtown Titusville, FL, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Skylab, America’s first space station. (Must be in line by 11:45am.) Map at Page Bottom.

Schweickart flew on the Apollo 9 earth-orbiting mission in March 1969, testing the moon ships with two other astronauts. In 1973 he was the backup commander for Skylab. Lousma spent 56 days on Skylab in 1973. Lousma also was commander of the third Space Shuttle flight, STS-3. Lousma and Schweickart are in their late 80s, and it is increasingly challenging to see them in person.

The 11am autograph event at our museum is to promote the documentary “Searching for Skylab: America’s Forgotten Triumph” and its 3 pm screening and panel discussion in the IMAX theater at the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex. SCREENING DETAILS Further Down Page.
